Our quote tools also ask a few questions so a licensed broker can match the right plan. These can include whether anyone on the plan uses tobacco, whether you currently have health coverage, a broad household income range, and whether you have any pre-existing health conditions. You choose what to share. We ask for ranges and yes or no answers, not medical records or exact dollar figures.

How we use it

We use your information only to help you compare insurance plans, connect you with a licensed broker, place coverage, and service your policy. We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Health and income information

Some of the questions in our quote tools relate to your health and your household income. We use this information only to match you with plans that fit and to connect you with a licensed Plansure broker who reviews your options. Income information helps a broker check whether you may qualify for financial help, called a subsidy. The marketplace determines that, not Plansure. We do not use your health or income information to deny you coverage, and we do not use it for advertising.

Carriers and applications

If you choose to apply for coverage, we share the specific information required by the carrier you select to underwrite and issue your policy. We do not share your information with any carrier you do not select.

Who sees your information

Your information is handled by Plansure and the licensed broker who helps you. If you choose to apply for coverage, we share only the details the carrier you select needs to quote, underwrite, and issue your policy. We also use trusted service providers, such as our customer records system and our email provider, to operate the business. They may process your information only to provide those services to us.

Cookies and analytics

We use basic web analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. These tools record aggregate, non-identifying data such as page views, referral source, and device type.

How we protect and keep your information

We limit access to your information to the people who need it to help you, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it.
